In this interview, Alberto Hernández, Barceló Marbella manager, talks to Golf Circus about what the hotel is like and what can travelers enjoy in it.

Marbella as a destination attracts different kinds of travelers in different seasons as it offers a wide range of touristic activities and it enjoys good climate all year. Thus, customer motivation and type of customer varies throughout the year. In Barceló Marbella Hotel, we organize business conventions, get-together of football teams from Northern Europe for training, family events such as weddings, first communions and christenings, shopping outings and we also host holiday customers who just come in the summer. The hotel has a wide range of facilities and services so it can welcome a variety of customers and we can offer what they need for each event.
Concerning golf, Marbella is a highly demanded destination most part of the year.

Barceló Marbella Hotel is strategically located near the Golf Valley, next to Benahavis that with Guadalmina is also a focus of golf on the Costa del Sol. To sum up, our customers have 9 or 10 of the best golf courses in Spain to play.
Regarding customizing guests’ experiences, we have a Guest Experience Department. Our Guest Experience Manager is specialized in golf experiences so he understands these customers and he can satisfy guests’ needs in this field. Golf lovers can anticipate their demands before they arrive and thus, have everything organized for them to enjoy an unforgettable stay.

Our hotel has agreements with the best golf courses on the Costa del Sol. Guests who stay with us not only benefit from these agreements but they also have the assessment of our Guest Experience team and enjoy the possibility of charging green fees to their room account.
I would like to highlight the fact that our hotel is located by the renowned Real Club Guadalmina Golf. It is an 18-hole course (North and South) and guests have the possibility of booking a buggy at the hotel entrance door to enjoy an unforgettable day.
