At La Veranda, the hotel’s signature restaurant, chef José Carlos Delgado reworks classic recipes with a contemporary touch and cooks them in front of guests, in a garden set around a stone fountain. Olà Beirut serves produce-driven Lebanese cooking — arnabeet meshwe, cauliflower roasted with tahini, or kafta mashwi, grilled lamb and beef kebabs. At 99 Sushi Bar, Japanese fusion takes the form of tiger prawn tempura or black cod gratinated with red miso, while La Loggia shifts character through the day: recovered Malagueña recipes at lunch, then handmade pizza and pasta by night, with its tableside Cacio e Pepe among the most requested dishes. By the sea, By The Sea Beach Club serves espetos and paellas almost on the sand, while Hole 55 keeps things informal with breakfasts, salads and Andalusian tapas through the rest of the day. Eight spaces, eight different registers, none of them requiring you to leave the resort.
A 2,000 m² spa for slowing down
Named Best Hotel Spa at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards, Anantara Spa spans 2,000 square metres of Roman-inspired baths, an aromatherapy circuit and thirteen treatment rooms. Next door, Irene’s Health Kitchen extends that same sense of pause to the table, with a light menu built to support the wellbeing rather than interrupt it. It’s one of the most complete spaces on the Costa del Sol — the place where the pace drops again before the day is done.
Marbella and Puerto Banús, minutes away
When it’s time to venture out, Marbella is just over a quarter of an hour away: its old town, centred on the Plaza de los Naranjos, still carries the structure of an Andalusian village that fame never quite erased. Puerto Banús, roughly the same distance, is a different register altogether, its yachts and buzz picking up from mid-afternoon. Between the two runs the Golden Mile, home to some of the most striking villas in southern Europe.
From here, the Costa del Sol opens in every direction
Benahavís, known for its food, is a short drive away, along with hiking routes that cross the municipality through some of the Costa del Sol’s finest scenery. Neighbouring Estepona offers its street murals and the Orchidarium Costa del Sol, a garden devoted to orchids; inland, the Sierra de las Nieves and the Puente Nuevo over the Tajo de Ronda offer a complete change of scenery within a little over an hour’s drive. None of it requires changing hotels.
