Meliá Marbella Banús Hotel with D.O.M. (Málaga Certificate of Origin) restaurant presents a traditional top quality culinary proposal where Malaga’s cuisine plays the leading role. The essence of this “Local Cuisine” concept is based on the use of local produce only and exclusively to offer traditional flavours of selected products of Málaga.
Dishes such as lightly roasted Scarlet shrimps with lime, ajo blanco (chilled garlic and almond soup) with citric salt, squid and king prawns grilled in butter, black aioli sauce Iberian ham flavour, spicy warm brie pie, smoked sardines, shoulder of kid Malaga style roasted in low temperature, are some of the highlights on the menu.
This season show cooking is available for some dishes that are freshly prepared on the premises.
The wine list includes selected wines from the Mountains of Málaga D.O.1 such as Veta Junior, Finca Los Frutales, Pago el Espino, Cloe and Botani.
There is a thorough cocktail menu based on the use of local produce and it includes “Málaga Mary” made with Pedro Ximenez wine and a “Daiquiri” made of avocados from the Axarquía2.
The restaurant features an informal yet elegant and warm atmosphere that uses vintage and industrial designed furniture to provide the setting to enjoy these dishes.
