Due to the original orography of the land, sea views from Alcaidesa are always impressive. Besides, this region is surrounded by two natural parks that provide added great beauty. At Alcaidesa the golf course, the beach and the extraordinary blue sea blend harmoniously to create an incredible visual sight.
Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort features 36 top-quality holes and Alcaidesa Heathland is the great unknown; it is a long course with wide fairways and large greens, flanked by scrubs and native bushes.
The resort has two courses, Alcaidesa Links and Alcaidesa Heathland; a four-star hotel, Aldiana Costa del Sol where the all-inclusive option is an added element in attractive golf packages; and two apartment hotels, Vista Real Alcaidesa on the Alcaidesa Links course and Albayt Nueva Alcaidesa, just 200 metres from the Club House opened in 2017.
The Heathland Course at Alcaidesa is an 18-hole 72-par course. It is 6,373 metre long and it has been designed by the prestigious ex-Ryder Cup player, Dave Thomas, who has also designed other international renowned courses. Heathland offers an extensive variety of natural environments that range from plateau areas in holes 1 to 5 and holes 17 and 18, wide fairways, exceptional views over the Mediterranean and mountain landscape to a valley where holes meander throughout the course incorporating water hazards. Sand bunkers feature small hills and hillocks as they have been built following Dave Thomas’ designs. Players can enjoy the use of drive and thus, reach the green with a second stroke.
This golf course is prepared to hold top-level competitions as it has already held the last editions of the Gecko Tour. The course is in perfect maintenance condition and thus, can host important international tournaments.
