El Encinar de Sotogrande
The history of golf in Sotogrande is a story that speaks of the prestige of its courses and the quality of their design, with some of them becoming host venues for major national and international tournaments. But what is really exciting, especially for fans, is how visitor facilities in the area, with the hotels leading the way, have really immersed themselves in the sport. A good example of this synergy between golf and tourism is Hotel El Encinar de Sotogrande. This hotel in the heart of Sotogrande opened for the season in April 2021 and aims to help golf fans live their dream and experience first-hand what it is like to play in this land of golf.
Golf is just one of the attractions when it comes to choosing a holiday destination. At Hotel Encinar de Sotogrande guests can combine long days of golf with relaxation, with 106 rooms surrounded by its gardens, swimming pools, bar and restaurant.
The El Encinar de Sotogrande concept centres on disconnecting from the daily routine and relaxing. And if golf relaxes you the most, this is the perfect place for it. The hotel has agreements with all the courses in the area: courses such as La Cañada, two minutes from the hotel; the two courses at La Alcaidesa; the courses of The San Roque Club; and some of the best courses in Spain, such as La Reserva, Finca Cortesin, the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande and the Real Club de Golf Valderrama. With all these nearby, golf fans will enjoy the hotel even more, while those who are new to the sport are sure to feel the urge to discover the hidden delights of what golf has to offer.
