This autumn, a new chapter is being added to that history, one that promises to leave its mark: The Alto Club. What was once Almenara has been transformed into something strikingly fresh. The 18-hole course, with its roots in Dave Thomas\u2019s original design and Manuel Pi\u00f1ero\u2019s later refinements, remains the backbone. But now it\u2019s joined by a par-3 layout and an academy that looks to the future of the sport.<\/p>\n

The Alto Club Golf Academy, officially opened on 1 September, is a space where golf feels close, social and fun. Instead of focusing only on specs, the experience is what stands out. Golfers can work on their game at a\u00a0Toptracer-equipped, floodlit driving range<\/strong>, take advantage of\u00a0grass and artificial hitting areas<\/strong>, or explore\u00a0custom fitting studios<\/strong> and a\u00a0dedicated professional coaching zone<\/strong>. A welcoming\u00a0caf\u00e9 and bar building<\/strong>\u00a0adds a social element, making practice as much about atmosphere as it is about performance. It\u2019s this blend of top-level facilities with a relaxed, encouraging environment that makes the Academy different from traditional models.<\/p>\n

The proximity to the SO\/ Sotogrande Spa & Golf Resort allows you to alternate practice with moments of relaxation in the spa, a dip in the pool or dinner with a view.
