La Cala Resort has been providing a unique experience to its guests for 35 years. Located just 30 minutes from Malaga airport, La\u00a0Cala\u00a0Resort, remains committed to providing an exceptional golf and lifestyle experience on the Costa del Sol, something recognised at the recent IAGTO awards when it was crowned Spain\u2019s \u2018Golf Resort of the Year 2024\u2019.<\/a><\/p>\n

Following completion of an extensive five-year project to not only upgrade all three golf courses, but also enhance their sustainability and water efficiency, the resort is now undertaking the refurbishment of its 107 hotel rooms to modernise its accommodation offering.<\/p>\n

\"ROOM<\/a><\/p>\n

Therefore, La Cala has just announced plans for an extensive renovation of its 107 bedrooms to adapt the style to its new identity and modernise its accommodation offering. By working one floor at a time, this exciting project will keep disruption to a minimum, with the hotel remaining open.<\/p>\n

The aim will be to transform the rooms with equipment such as USB sockets, 55-inch SMART televisions and golf bag racks in the new closets, while decorating them with new furnishings that reflect Andalusia’s lifestyle and heritage.<\/p>\n

The first phase of the renovation work will take place over a three-month period from December 2024 to February 2025, with the hotel remaining fully open from December 26th<\/sup>, 2024, to January 6th<\/sup>, 2025, to accommodate those who wish to spend the post-Christmas and New Year period soaking up the sunshine on the Costa del Sol<\/a>. The second phase will take place the following winter, with the hotel fully renovated by March 2026.<\/p>\n

This switch of focus to the accommodation follows completion of an extensive five-year project to not only upgrade all three golf courses, but also enhance their sustainability and water efficiency by transitioning from bent grass greens to Bermuda. Campo Asia made the switch in 2019 and Campo Europa in 2020; now the upgrade has been completed on Campo America where several tee boxes have been widened and extended throughout the course, offering more playability options for all types of golfers.<\/p>\n
