As one of the highest ranked golf resorts in Spain and Europe, La Cala has continued to excel on and off the golf course in recent years. Continuing its commitment to sustainability, the Spanish resort has followed-up the environmentally friendly practices on the golf course with further renovations that will positively impact the resort for the future.<\/p>\n

Designed by famous golf course architect Cabell Robinson, La Cala offers three superb championship courses, each one presenting unique challenges and breath-taking views of the stunning Andalusian countryside.<\/p>\n

With natural, undulating backdrops of trees and flowers, rich with wildlife, La Cala\u2019s superb 60-hole resort offers an idyllic rural retreat just 20 minutes from Marbella and only 30 minutes from Malaga airport.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

State-of-the-art solar panels have now been implemented on the maintenance shed at La Cala, helping to power a number of the resort facilities with alternative and more sustainable solar energy. Producing over 203.58kWp across all sites, La Cala\u2019s new solar power panels will produce over 50% of the energy to the popular clubhouse area. With further solar panels planned for this year, the future of energy at La Cala looks greener<\/em> than ever.<\/p>\n

After successfully completing improvements to the outdoor terrace area of the iconic La Cala clubhouse, the 4-star golf resort has also made changes to the indoor seated area of the clubhouse bar and restaurant. This latest indoor renovation will provide a refreshed, modern and more spacious feel, complete with large sliding doors, improved seating and stylish furniture. Combined with a new and improved clubhouse menu, these latest renovations will offer something for all La Cala guests and residents.<\/p>\n

These are not the only planned changes to La Cala, with some upgrades to the hotel area and resort currently in the planning<\/a>. On top of the recent improvements completed for more peace and privacy at the hotel, there are also plans to freshen up the reception area, along with the introduction of three new paddle courts available for all to use.<\/p>\n

Located next to the 9th hole of the famous America Course at La Cala, leading property developer Taylor Wimpey Spain has invested a further \u20ac16 million in the first phase of a new project, \u2018Solana Village\u2019.
