La Reserva Club Sotogrande has placed 30th<\/sup> in the Golf World \u2018Top 100 X Factor Courses<\/a>\u2019 rankings list. The extensive list ranks Europe\u2019s most desirable golf courses on their jaw-dropping settings, dramatic holes, tournament pedigree, and overall look and conditioning. This latest European Top 100 ranking from Golf World identifies courses that both \u2018blow your mind and subconsciously charm you\u2019.<\/p>\n

Carved into the Sotogrande hillside with natural vistas in every direction, the 7,400 yard 18-hole championship layout at La Reserva Club was designed in 2003 by American architect and course designer, Cabell B. Robinson. With wide, sweeping fairways that lead on to vast, undulating greens, stark elevation changes, and numerous water features, La Reserva is simply a must-play for any golfer visiting the region.<\/p>\n

Chris Bertram, Top 100 Courses and Resorts Editor for Golf World and Today\u2019s Golfer, commented: \u201cLa Reserva Club is the first course in this rankings list that ticks all four criteria boxes \u2013 setting, dramatic holes, tournament pedigree, and conditioning. The design ranks as at least a 7\/10 in all those categories, and in the case of conditioning, more like a 9.5! It features some terrific holes and boasts spectacular Mediterranean views from elevated fairways and well positioned teeing areas.\u201d<\/p>\n
