The 18-hole par 71-course <\/span>of Santa Clara Golf Marbella opened in 2001. This golf course was designed by Enrique Canales Busquets and it is located just a few minutes from Marbella\u2019s city centre and its amenities. In addition, high quality customer service and excellent golf course maintenance make Santa Clara a historic golf course on the Costa del Sol.<\/span><\/p>\n

The course has undergone a series of renovations <\/span>in different fields <\/span>since 2017. These include improvements on the itinerary that started in 2017 and are due to <\/span>be <\/span>finish<\/span>ed<\/span> in 2019, as well as a new more dynamic and intuitive web page for users and a new commercial policy focused on green fees commercialization.<\/span><\/p>\n

Itinerary renovation<\/span><\/p>\n

The possibility of<\/span> playing from the old hole 3 (<\/span>par<\/span> 4<\/span>) directly to<\/span>wards the green as if it was <\/span>par<\/span> 3<\/span>, disappeared because of the trees that had grown in the tee. Thus, the initial phase of the renovation works that started in 2017 focused on the alterations in this hole. It changed from <\/span>a <\/span>par<\/span> 4 short 240-metre dogleg to a <\/span>par <\/span>3 <\/span>180-metre<\/span> long with elevated tees. As a result, this is a large golf hole with high views of the green.<\/span><\/p>\n

During 2018 Santa Clara Golf <\/span>Marbella has been played as a<\/span> par <\/span>70 and two par 3<\/span> one after the other are played: hole 2 and hole 3.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second phase of this itinerary renovation is planned for 2019. Hole 2 will be modified and <\/span>changed from being a 198-metre<\/span> par<\/span> 3<\/span> hole to a <\/span>224-metre <\/span>par<\/span> 4<\/span>. Consequently, t<\/span>he exit tees will be placed<\/span><\/a> back and a new green will be built just behind the exist tees of hole 3.<\/span><\/p>\n

All these alterations will provide the option<\/span> to play the new<\/span> par<\/span> 4 like a <\/span>par<\/span> 3<\/span> if players want to take a chance and play directly to<\/span>wards<\/span> the green. However, they will have to do it playing over the stream located on the left side of the hole and without a direct view of the green.<\/span><\/p>\n

Launching a new web page<\/span><\/p>\n

Santa Clara Golf Marbella has just launched a new web page. It is more modern, dynamic and intuitive for users. Players will be able to find all the golf club information: \u00a0fees, season passes, green fee packages, prices <\/span>of the<\/span> Golf School, new photographs, a new presentation video filmed with drone and other information.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, players can have a guide and v<\/span>ideos of each of the holes on the golf course with recommendations by<\/span> a professional, David Guarch who explains how to play in ea<\/span>ch these holes<\/span>. This enables players to get to know the course before they start playing.<\/span><\/p>\n

New commercial policy<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2018 Santa Clara Golf Marbella has decided to modify its commercial policy and thus, focus on green fees commercialization and changing the policy of season pass holders. In fact, this year members\u2019 playing times have been limited after 2.00 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nevertheless, six-month and yearly season passes with or without buggy will be offered for 2019 but they will be limited to play in the afternoon. For players who want to play in <\/span>the morning 10 and 20 green fee packages<\/span> with good discounts will also be offered.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
