La <\/span>Cala<\/span> Resort on the Costa del Sol is one of the most renowned golf resorts in Andalusia. It has three, 18-hole golf courses designed by <\/span>Cabell<\/span> Robinson and an academy located next to the six-hole par-three golf course. It is also home to a FIFA regulation football field and sports facilities and is the only one of its kind with an eight kilometre running path.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hotel has 107 rooms, three themed restaurants and a spa that is over 1,300 m2\u2014not to mention the many other services and amenities that the resort has to offer. La <\/span>Cala<\/span>Resort was awarded Best Luxury Mountain Hotel at the SPAIN LUXURY HOTEL AWARDS 2018, which recognises the efforts made by hotels to be considered among the best in their field. \u00a0Evaluation is based on excellence in client services and resort design, environment and management. The resort has now been nominated for the World Spa Awards in the category of \u201c<\/span>Spain\u2019s Best Resort Spa 2018<\/span>\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

La <\/span>Cala<\/span> Resort is taking on the autumn season with exciting developments that will once again bring the resort to the peak of sport, while offering more complementary leisure activities and enhancing its dining options.<\/span><\/p>\n

In just short of six months, La <\/span>Cala<\/span> Resort has implemented a number of improvements that have benefitted not only its sport facilities, but also its dining options and resort management. Both the arrival of Sean Corte<\/span>–<\/span>Real as director and the hiring of Daniel <\/span>Peinado<\/span>, the well-known AOVE chef, have come to be a promising beginning for consolidating resort\u2019s national and international brand.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the main advances of this new and ambitious stage is the vast improvement made to the Campo America golf course, turning it into \u201cour premium facility\u201d, states the sales manager of La <\/span>Cala<\/span> Resort, Noemi <\/span>Rom\u00e1n<\/span>. A significant investment has been made to improve the facilities and remodel the bunkers and fairways.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>Thanks to hard work, \u201cguests will enjoy specialised treatment and added value\u201d. Of course, the Asia and Europe golf courses \u201cwill maintain the highest of quality standards, just as our guests are used to\u201d. Similarly, staff will maintain a closer relationship with guests, offering a \u201cmore personalised check-in process\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

Improvements made on the Campo America golf course include renovating holes 4 and 15 to improve their playability. In addition, the teeing grounds have been levelled and the bunkers have been refurbished by replacing sand in some of them and installing new drains in all of them. The street drains have been cleared prior to the possible retention of rainwater. Lastly, the streets have been equipped and updated for water drainage, \u201cimproving the uniformity, strength and drainage capability\u201d, adds La <\/span>Cala<\/span> Resort\u2019s sales director.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other relevant news, Dani<\/span>el <\/span>Peinado<\/span>, the famous AOVE (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) chef, was recently hired to help polish the dining options at the resort\u2019s three restaurants. \u201cEach restaurant\u201d, states <\/span>Rom\u00e1n<\/span>, \u201cwill have its own touch\u201d. The Casa Club offers \u201cquick and casual but healthy cooking, while La Bodega offers Andalusian-inspired tapas with virgin olive oil as its base\u201d. <\/span>In terms of La <\/span>Terraza<\/span>, the most gourmet option of the three restaurants, the philosophy comes from AOVE-based cuisine \u201cwith hints of global culture, since most guests are international\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the effort to facilitate access for golfers, La <\/span>Cala<\/span> Resort will provide free transfers to the Golf Academy starting in September. This service will extend to all<\/span> guests <\/span>who would like to practise before or after their golf games. The free transport service will operate on the same schedule as the academy. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
