Double Masters Champion at Augusta will be present at <\/span>Meli<\/span>\u00e1 Villaitana Golf Club<\/span>together with Miguel Angel Jimenez and winning Ryder Cup Captain<\/span> Paul McGinley<\/span><\/p>\n

Jos<\/span>\u00e9 <\/span>Mar\u00eda Olaz\u00e1<\/span>bal <\/span>will be one of the stars who will play at the <\/span>Costa Blanca Benidorm Senior Masters <\/span>from the <\/span>29<\/span>th <\/span>November<\/span> until 1st <\/span>December<\/span> at M<\/span>eli<\/span>\u00e1 <\/span>Villaitana Golf Club. <\/span>The event will be the only <\/span>Staysure Tour (European Tour Event) on spanish soil<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Olaz<\/span>\u00e1<\/span>bal <\/span>has, at <\/span>52 <\/span>years has 30 victories of which 23 are on the European Tour. \u00a0 <\/span>Winner of The Masters in <\/span>1994 y 1999 <\/span>has won on the five continents and has participated on <\/span>eight<\/span> Ryder Cups, having captained<\/span> the winning team in 2012 at the historic \u201cmiracle of Medinah\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Olaz<\/span>\u00e1bal recently returned to action after some complicated weeks: “at the <\/span>British Senior Open I had a bad<\/span> back and was out for two months\u2026. <\/span>Also my mother has had a complicated operation and I decide to stay at home to look after her.<\/span> \u00a0 This is why I have not competed since <\/span>June<\/span>. \u00a0 I played on the Staysure Tour in Denmark and p<\/span>l<\/span>aying in <\/span>November in Spain is going to be very special<\/span><\/p>\n

Olaz<\/span>\u00e1<\/span>bal <\/span>is anxious to play on the spectacular design by the legendary<\/span> Jack Nicklaus<\/span>. \u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>I do not know the course yet but will have some practice rounds and hopefully play well in front of the local crowds<\/span>\u201d<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Olaz<\/span>\u00e1<\/span>bal <\/span>will join his compatriot <\/span>Miguel <\/span>\u00c1<\/span>ngel Jim<\/span>\u00e9<\/span>nez, <\/span>and other great players such as <\/span>Paul McGinley,\u00a0<\/span>Barry Lane, Phil<\/span>lip Price, Gordon Brand Jr, Constantino Rocca, Gordon J. Brand, Phillip Walton, Eamonn Darcy, Jean Van de Velde, Peter Baker, Thomas Levet,<\/span>\u00a0Jos<\/span>\u00e9 <\/span>Rivero o Jos<\/span>\u00e9 <\/span>C<\/span>\u00f3ceres<\/span>. \u00a0<\/span>“<\/span>I am going to be with my good friends Jimenez, Miguel Martin, Santiago Luna and Jose Rivero and will be nice to support new events such as the <\/span>Costa Blanca Benidorm Senior Masters” <\/span><\/p>\n
