The worldwide appeal of La Manga Club has received a glowing double endorsement after the popular Spanish resort received two of the leading accolades at the 2017 World Golf Awards, including being named as \u2018Europe\u2019s Best Golf Venue\u2019.<\/p>\n

The top sports and leisure destination was hosting the event for the first time in its illustrious history and enjoyed a memorable evening in Murcia, with the resort\u2019s Hotel Principe Felipe also winning \u2018Spain\u2019s Best Golf Hotel\u2019 for the third time in the last four years.<\/p>\n

A five-time host of the Spanish Open, La Manga Club boasts outstanding golf facilities including three renowned 18-hole courses \u2013 the South, North and West \u2013 a nine-hole academy course and Golf Training Centre.<\/p>\n

The resort recently celebrated its 45th anniversary and has enjoyed a year to remember in 2017, being rewarded for continued investment on and off the golf course.<\/p>\n

Among the other top accolades the venue has received, it was named \u2018Europe\u2019s Leading Luxury Resort & Villas 2017\u2019 at the World Travel Awards Europe and joined a select group of courses in Spain to have been granted royal status by the Spanish royal household after being awarded the title \u2018Real Golf La Manga Club\u2019.<\/p>\n

Taking place at La Manga Club from November 23-26, the event featured a collection of golf industry leaders and some of the sport\u2019s most famous names, including legendary commentator Peter Alliss, Steve Rider \u2013 who hosted the awards \u2013 Sky Sports commentator Andrew Coltart and record 18-time Major winner Jack Nicklaus, who received the \u2018Golf Course Designer of the Year\u2019 award.<\/p>\n

In addition to offering a weekend of unrivalled networking opportunities, representatives from 40-plus countries from all over the world had the chance to enjoy the full extent of La Manga Club\u2019s facilities \u2013 including playing two rounds of golf across the resort\u2019s three golf courses.
