In the Region of Murcia, no distance is too great if the purpose is to play golf. All within a radius of 35 kilometres, their designs are the work of names such as Jack Nicklaus, Dave Thomas and Severiano Ballesteros. The result is a wide variety of courses and one of the most popular areas for golfers to visit.
The Region of Murcia is golf and much more. The over 300 days of sunshine a year is the reason it is known as the Costa Cálida (or the Warm Coast). Here is a destination that moves from the fertile nature inland to the beauty of its beaches, from the heritage of its cities to the wealth of the local cuisine. In short, a vacation that has everything.
Golf all year round
20 signature golf courses designed by renowned players make the Costa Cálida one of the top golf destinations in Europe, where golf enthusiasts and professional players can play their favourite sport at any time of the year. In addition, all are within a working radius of 35 square kilometers so one can play on more than one golf course during a single getaway.
Blue Trails
The Region of Murcia currently has 10 blue trails, being the single-provincial autonomous community with the most trails of this category.
What are blue trails? The blue trails began as a distinction granted by the Environmental and Consumer Education Association (Adeac) to hiking routes close to the sea and that had a blue flag. Lately, this categorization has also been expanded to trails located in the interior that are natural and in a perfect state of conservation.
Health – take time out
Taking time out to look after yourself is always a good idea. The Region of Murcia has a wide range of options for Spa, from medicinal spas dedicated to personal well-being to modern thalassotherapy centres and spas, where you can enjoy exclusive health treatments, and even the mud baths of the Mar Menor. And add to all this the exceptional climate – an average annual temperature of 19ºC – and the Region of Murcia is a dreamy paradise for pampering body and soul at any time of year.
