Spain’s La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort, formerly known as Alcaidesa, has put itself on the map among Europe’s elite golfing venues after becoming the latest to join the European Tour Destination network.
The news caps off an exciting start to the year for the 36-hole venue, which has recently opened a new contemporary clubhouse and driving range as part of a multi-million euro investment and transformation.
European Tour Destinations is a global network of world-class golf venues across 21 countries on three continents. Located in the Cadiz municipality of San Roque, close to Sotogrande, La Hacienda is situated on the beachfront offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa.

- Significant investment will see the Links Alcaidesa golf course redesigned by Kurtis Bowman, a new five-star luxury hotel with 150 rooms, new clubhouse and dining facilities, new halfway house, beach club and real estate – all set to launch between 2022 and 2023 to transform the site into a luxury golf destination.
- The original Links Alcaidesa course inaugurated in 1992 and was designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark. Alcaidesa Heathland was designed by the renowned former Ryder Cup player, Dave Thomas. Both are 18-hole, par-72 layouts.
