INFINITUM, host venue of the European Tour’s Final Qualifying Stage, has marked its commitment to delivering an exceptional lifestyle and leisure experience by becoming the only venue to be named ‘Europe’s Best Golf Venue’ for the third consecutive year at the World Golf Awards.
Since launching in July, the resort has continued to enhance its facilities and services, on and off the course, rebranding its restaurants and introducing new facilities, resulting in the venue receiving significant international recognition within the golf industry.
As ‘Europe’s Best Golf Venue’, the facility provides unquestionable standards and activities for domestic and international guests. Its championship golf course, Hills, has recently been ranked inside Golf World’s ‘Top 100 Golf Courses in Continental Europe’ for the first time, elevating its position as one of the most exciting courses in Spain.
The new strategic vision and commitment, supported by the recruitment of exceptional individuals within the golf industry also aims to transform Infinitum into Europe’s most sustainable golf resort. The resort is already participating in projects and processes to reduce its overall impact on the environment, whilst finding new and innovative ways to improve its current delivery of maintenance.
Having achieved GEO Certification for the second time through it’s ‘eco-first’ strategy, Infinitum has recently announced the installation of 535 solar panels to the roof of its desalination plant to run the facility using renewable energy during daylight hours.
Speaking about the latest set of accolades received by Infinitum, Agustin Garcia Pascual, Chief Business Officer – INFINITUM, said: “We could not have wished for a better start to our journey as Infinitum. Since the launch back in July, our team has worked exceptionally hard to improve the quality of standards and facilities that are available to guests all year round. It is our ambition to present golfers and non-golfers alike with the best possible experience and as part of this it is great to see Hills rewarded.
“This is only the start of our journey. Every year we will seek to improve and raise the benchmark for hospitality and service within the industry, both in Spain and in Europe. We are already excited to welcome back Europe’s leading golfers next year as we begin to reveal even more of the exciting projects that are planned at the resort.”
In addition to world-class golf courses and modern gastronomy, the resort also has one of the finest beach clubs in Spain, located amongst pine trees above the Mediterranean Sea, with state-of-the-art facilities including seven swimming pools spread across multiple areas, a tapas bar and a flagship restaurant: Flamma Beach Foodhouse.
