Set in the heart of the Costa Dorada, INFINITUM features exclusive homes, three international award-winning golf courses, an exclusive beach club, several restaurants and other related services.
The latest of these investments involves the closure of the Lakes course, which just four weeks ago hosted the ISPS Handa Championship in Spain, the first DP World Tour tournament in Europe this season. The improvement work here will include renovating the 18 fairways and chiefly replacing the grass on them with a much more sustainable variety.
Also this year, INFINITUM will unveil several new additions to its facilities, including a new swimming pool in the Beach Club, which now has eight pools across five areas. A new area will focus on wellness, connecting with nature and calm.
In food and beverage, two new places to eat are planned for this summer, with a new gourmet shop and café in the Hills Clubhouse and a new restaurant in the Beach Club offering healthy, local cuisine.
INFINITUM Golf consists of three exceptional golf courses, each with its own design and layout. Named every year since 2019 as Europe’s Best Golf Venue at the World Golf Awards and aiming for a fourth consecutive award in 2022, its facilities were the setting for an astonishing Spanish double at the ISPS Handa Championship in Spain. The prestigious DP World Tour event was played on the Greg Norman-designed Lakes course, which opened to the public in 2008. Norman’s ingenious design winds naturally around the Sèquia Major wetland, a protected natural area of great beauty, with water as the main hazard on the course.
The neighbouring Hills course poses a totally different challenge; several elevated tees and narrow landing areas flanked by natural pine woods with greens fringed with dramatic rock. Hills has recently been included in Golf World’s 100 Best Golf Courses in Continental Europe for the first time, reinforcing its position as one of the most exciting courses in Spain.
Complementing the golf courses are four exclusive eating venues headed by Flamma and supported by Gusto, The Lakehouse Bistrot and Terra, all offering the finest cuisine and best service in the area.
The resort also boasts one of the best beach clubs in Europe, nominated as Europe’s Leading Beach Club 2022 at the prestigious World Travel Awards, with eight swimming pools, each with its own appeal and personality, a lounge bar and one of the best restaurants in the region, Flamma.
Its new strategic vision and commitment to the environment, backed by the recruitment of top professionals within the golf industry, have also helped transform INFINITUM into Europe’s most sustainable golf resort. The resort is fully engaged in projects to reduce its overall impact on the environment while looking for new and innovative ways to improve its maintenance procedures.
